Lisa & Mike's Laid Back Summer Nuptials
Many thanks to Luke Eshelman for use of these images! I loved working with Eshelman Photography on this event- and the images alone tell an amazing story!
The Bride's day began at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria. The incredibly talented Ana Merces and her assistant did an amazing job making the bride and her bridesmaids even prettier with her makeup artistry.
Meanwhile, Devon Langlas did updos and hair styling for the bride and bridesmaids.
While separate, these two professionals came together to make the bridal party look amazing!
Then it was time for a short ride over to the ceremony & reception site. Lisa & Mike chose The Billingsley House Museum, a Prince George's County Historic Property. The house has two spacious suites for bridal party members to get ready and finish up. There's also a third bedroom area upstairs - perfect for your vendors to use as a staging ground.

Beefalo Bob's set up shop prior to guests arriving, and the sweet smell of a BBQ and grilling greeted guests as they arrived.
The St. Charles String Quartet was a huge hit. Filled the scene with ambiance. Beautiful ceremony and into the cocktail hour.
The ceremony was held on the house lawn, against a beautiful Patuxent River backdrop!
Lisa & Mike chose to have live music for the reception. It was great! Soul Gravity, via Sam Hill Entertainment took care of Emcee duties as well as keeping the dance floor packed!
In addition to traditional wedding cake, pies from the Bride's hometown bakery on various heights of cake stands were served.
A summer thunderstorm moved the festivities inside the Billingsley House, but there was plenty of fun to be had!
After the reception, on the way back to Old Town, the new Mr. & Mrs. popped in downtown for a few pics at the monuments!
Congratulations Lisa & Mike!
